At Chocolate Squirrel, our aim to keep the chocolate makers in control of all aspects of their chocolate from bean to customer. We have formed close relationships with all our makers and share common goals: a deep passion for fine chocolate combined with ethical practices.

Ara Chocolat, founded by a Venezuelan couple, Andrés and Sabrina Zakhour, is a small batch bean-to-bar chocolate company in Paris. They make chocolate from beans Andrés, carefully sources and buys from small cacao growers and cooperatives in Latin America. They devote most of their time searching for heirloom and unique varieties.

Pia Rivera founded Aruntam Chocolate in 2019. She is the heart of this company. She follows each step through the supply chain, from sourcing the raw materials and cacao beans through the entire processing. She creates all recipes and products in the organic certified laboratory in San Giuliano Milanese. Aruntam takes great care to preserve the natural flavors of their ingredients. They select only best cacao beans creating chocolate that is minimally processed to capture its true essence. This bean to bar company has won numerous international awards.
Karuna Chocolate

Armin Untersteiner and his wife Katya Waldboth live in South Tyrol a German-speaking region in Northern Italy. When they founded Karuna Chocolate in 2018 they were the first in the region to produce organic bean-to-bar chocolate.

Each bar has been carefully selected based on the above criteria along with flavor and quality. As versed professional chocolate tasters, we can guide retailers with bar selection best suited for their clientele.
In addition, each chocolate maker, we represent possesses a warmth and kindness that was the inspiration for this project. It is these commonalities that unite us and were the catalyst in creating the Chocolate Squirrel family.
